Carhartt, Inc. is an American apparel company founded in 1889 by Hamilton Carhartt. Originally focused on producing heavy-duty workwear for railroad workers, the brand is legendary for its durable canvas "duck" fabric and triple-stitched seams. In the 1990s, the brand gained a massive following in the streetwear and hip-hop communities, leading to the creation of the Carhartt WIP (Work In Progress) sub-brand.
